Excited and Dreading

As i'm writing this, i'm supposed to be cleaning my room (*note "supposed").  I am taking a short break to go on Tumblr and such.  I have to clean/rearrange my room because I found out that i'm allergic to dust; and my room is full of it.  So I just finished cleaning out my drawers and closet.  I always have mixed feelings about rearranging my room:  I like it because I like the room to have a nice, new, clean look to it, and I like using my somewhat, not extremely impressive interior decorating skills to place things here, there, and everywhere.  I dislike it because I sneeze with all of the dust flying about, and i'm always afraid it will not get done before I go to bed; because I can't stand it when my room is messy and i'm trying to sleep.  Which, I guess, writing a new post isn't helping the matter, but I wanted to write, so here I am.  However, earlier, my mom and I were discussing where to put all of my crap, and she suggested that I put all of my books on a low shelf in the closet.  I told her, "No; this might sound a bit strange, but I'd rather have them on an open table, where I can clearly see them.  Because, for me, at least, my room seems so much more comforting when my books are in plain sight, and within easy reach."  "You're such a geek," she responded.  "No, " I said, "i'm a nerd." Big difference, mother.  Well, I have a room to clean, so i'll be back later.

Only Harry Potter Could Get Me This Excited

SO EXCITED
So, confession, I’ve been reblogging all this Harry Potter stuff on tumblr, and I haven’t even seen the movie yet. *sigh* I really wanted to go to the midnight premiere, but my aunt(who introduced me to Harry Potter) couldn’t get off of work, so we couldn’t see it, and I would never see it without her. So on Sunday morning, at nine-ish(dunno) i’m gonna see it, and i’m so ashfdlfjhdiflkdfj excited, but also really depressed, because it’s gonna be over :( On Saturday, i’m dying my hair red, painting my nails Hogwarts colors, and hopefully get a t-shirt at JCPenney today.  I’ll post some pictures for you guys when I get the chance (:  So this morning, I read some more of the Goblet of Fire(no, I haven’t read all of the books yet, only because I want it to last as long as possible…but it won’t take me too long to read them all because THEY’RE ALL SO EFFING GOOD), and at nine I watched Tom Felton on Regis and Kelly (: But either way, i’m gonna prepare on Saturday night, get ready on Sunday, see the movie, and cry and mope around and be all depressed for a couple of weeks.  I’ve only seen two Potter films in theatres(I was a late bloomer, sadly), but always, when I leave the theatre, I always have this magical and satisfied feeling in my entire body.  I distinctly remember when seeing Half-Blood Prince, I left the theatre and I just rambled the whole way home about how amazing it was, and “can I borrow your books?” and I can’t wait to see the other ones and just *blahblahblahramblerambleharrypotterrambleamazinglovemagiclalalalalovelyaaah*.
And when I saw Deathly Hallows part 1, we went to IHOP and I just sat there, eating my hash browns, and rambling some more(I’m a naturally quiet person, but I talk like there’s no tomorrow when I get excited)and staring dreamily out the window.  So now, in a couple of days, i’m gonna see the last movie, i’m gonna dye my hair red, paint my nails, and just other exciting stuff. (: So, yeah.  Can’t waaaiiit ♥
oh, and one of my friends made a Dobby tombstone shirt <3
one more thing, i’m so jealous of everyone who got to go to LeakyCon!

An Abundance of Katherines by John Green-review

Today I finished An Abundance of Katherines by John Green and it was absolutely wonderful.  It has a great story line, lovely characters, and it just, made me happy, I guess.  It made me laugh, literally, out loud, which doesn't usually happen when i'm reading.  Something else that usually doesn't happen, but did, was that this book made me think.  Actually put the book down momentarily, and think.  I'm not a math fan, but just from this book, I learned to appreciate it more, sort of.  Well, not really, but the equations and such added a nice touch to the story. To tell you the truth, I really don't want to give it back to the library(i'm cheap, sorry; hats off to you that bought the book).  But John Green has yet to disappoint me, and I can't wait to read his other works.  So overall, the book was very good, and I enjoyed it:  which is pretty much all I expect from a book.

p.s. sorry this review was sucky, I promise there will be better ones (:

Book(s) currently reading:  Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro

First :D

Hellooo! Just thought I might take some time and sortof tell you what this whole "blog" thingy is gonna be about. Pretty much all of the posts are going to be talking about my life in some way, the things I like and care about, places I want to go, and books and movies and plays and just a whole mess of stuff; well, to sum it up, whatever the cheese noodles I want to talk about.  I'm also going to do a whole lot of book and movie reviews.  So that's 'bout it. Laters.

p.s. I came up with "Portraits of Flowers"  because I love photos/paintings, I love flowers, and well, the idea is actually inspired by the "portrait of a girl with flowers" in the Harry Potter movies, which you can read about here: http://harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Portrait_of_a_girl_with_flowers
